IMO this some seriously ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game design for a fighting game. I want some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ consistency in my progression. Why in god's name do we have ABSOLUTELY NO choice in what we are unlocking. The whole RNG part of the system is downright stupid. HOWEVER the implementation of said progression is what's getting so many people pissed off (me included). You'll be hard pressed to find a game that doesn't have some sort of progression system. The Concept of grind/farm/working towards a thing is not new to games at all. They're annoyed at how that "work" is being implemented. They're not annoyed at the fact that they have to work towards something. Ok.here's what i'm getting from the OP's rant (and nero, deka and redblaze's arguments as well).
